How many colours can I choose from?
There are 22 colours in the basic Cortiça coloured
cork range, but many more available. If you want a
unique
colour, it can be made to match a Resene color chart.
How are the cork floor tiles finished?
When they are laid they are finished with one further
coat of polyurethane.
Are there any pre-glued tiles?
Yes. Our preglued tiles have a layer of latex contact
adhesive pre-applied on the reverse side. The advantage
of laying these tiles is that polyurethane can be applied
straight after laying instead of having to wait 24 hours
as is the case with spirit glues.
How do you re-surface cork floor tiles?
After 2-3 years, depending on the wear your tiles
receive, you may want to refresh them with a new coat
of polyurethane. A re-glaze solution is available which
is spread over the tiles to activate the polyurethane
before the new coat is applied, leaving your floor looking
like new, or the tiiles are hand sanded to remove grease,
and washed with hot water and a little meths, prior to
applying another coat of water-borne Polyurethane.
Can cork tiles be laid and finished in ONE day?
Yes. Water-borne polyurethane is dry within 4 hours.
Cortiça
tiles are bought with 3 coats of polyurethane already
applied, so you just lay and put on one more coat!
How many different types of cork tiles are there?
- Cortica Coloured Cork tiles - in
a large range of colours, and two sizes: 305 x 305
and 450 x 450 mm
- Natural 6mm High Density - honey
coloured tiles
- Autumn Cork 6 mm High Density - a
large granule, chunky cork
Can you have inlays and borders and key squares
in Coloured Cork?
Yes. We cut and bevel these for you at the time of ordering.
